Welcome to East County Parent & Youth Engagement Committee!
We're so excited to have you here, ready to learn more about the committee. We are one of five subcommittees of DHHS, serving East County, which is comprised of Hillandale, White Oak, Ashton, Sandy Spring, Cloverly, Colesville, Burtonsville, Briggs Chaney, Fairland, Good Hope, Spencerville, and Silver Spring.
Essentially, our purpose is to LISTEN and AMPLIFY the voices of East County Parents & Youth to ACTION. In short, we want to create opportunities for ENGAGEMENT and connect residents with county resources.
We do this by:
- Hosting FREE virtual and in-person events for the community
- Hold monthly community meetings
- Host activities and community outreach events
- Collaborating with community stake-holders to meet East County
- needs
